Key Decisions (1:4)

So still in Brisbane. And still rockin hard. I am living it up whenever I am not working. I have probably three weeks left here? It depends on Jeremy and when/what he decides. He is coming down under from LA sometime. Can't wait to see a familiar face!

Last weekend I tried one of the big clubs for the first time. I got tickets to Fedde Le Grand at The Met and it was awesome. He does 'Put your Hands up for Detroit' for all you kids unfamiliar. DJ Funkerman was better I think though. Check him out if you're into electrohouse at all. The club was so cool and we had a killer time. Some pics up on facebook and my Picassa albums.

Sunday I decided to take the train down to the Gold Coast (GC) for the national rodeo finals. It was fun, but laughable. The place was maybe half full at best. You could hear a pin drop with the level of excitement there. But it was great to see some rodeo action regardless.

This week I have already put in 30 hrs of work and am working Fri and Sat night in the bar. It's fun and I am saving big money. Tomorrow I am going back down to the GC beach with some local friends. It's about an hour south of here only. For Sunday I got cheap tickets to the Big Day Out festival, headlined by Neil Young. http://www.bigdayout.com/goldcoast.php
I know quite a few of the bands, but if you have any recommendations from that list please enlighten me. Then I have to jet back up here for a big night out Sunday night. I'm going to try the Other big club. This one is supposedly bigger than The Met. Looks for pictures next week.

I've been meeting lots of great people through work and at the hostel here. Only one American since Sydney though. I keep meeting people that hate Americans too. And they tell you right to your face. I am doing my best to give us a better image, but I think Bush sunk us nearly six feet under. Can't wait to see what Obama can do starting next week. Sounds like closing Guantanamo will be his first big step.

Hope every one's year started off with a bang. I sure know mine has. 0-60. Km, not miles. My current situation is trying to decide what I want to do and when. I still have my train pass all the way north and I want to use it before it expires. I might go to NZ and then come back. I might party to death. I might fall in love and never leave Brisbane again. It's all come down to some key decisions. "I'll be in the hospital bar."

I've got some more pictures up on my site. http://picasaweb.google.com/andersn8 Please have a look see.

Til next time.
